The Role of Governors
Our Governing Body plays a vital role in supporting and shaping the direction of St Matthew’s. Governors work closely with school leaders to ensure that every child receives the best possible education in a safe, nurturing and ambitious environment.
They help to set the school’s vision and strategic priorities, monitor progress and standards, and ensure that statutory responsibilities are met. Governors also oversee the school’s finances and hold leaders to account for the quality of education and outcomes for pupils.
Working in partnership with the Headteacher and staff, our Governors are committed to promoting our Christian values and ensuring that St Matthew’s continues to thrive for all members of our school community.
