Online Safety for Families

Online safety is rooted in our school values of Love, Friendship, Creativity and Respect. We teach children to show love and respect in their online interactions, to build positive digital friendships, and to use technology creatively and responsibly. Through clear guidance and open discussion, pupils learn how to protect themselves and others, recognise risks, and speak up if something feels wrong. Our approach aligns with Department for Education (DfE) guidance and forms an integral part of our safeguarding and child protection procedures.

By equipping pupils with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the digital world safely, we also enhance their cultural capital—preparing them to participate thoughtfully and responsibly in modern British society. Through strong partnerships with families and by following national expectations, we ensure online safety is embedded within our school culture, helping every child feel safe, valued and empowered both in school and beyond.
