As a Church school, we welcome applications from all families. Places are allocated in line with Bolton Council admissions policy and follow the priority order set out below:
Priority 1 – Looked After and Previously Looked After Children
Children who are in public care or who have previously been in public care.
Priority 2 – Vulnerable Children
Children identified as vulnerable, where the application is supported by the Assistant Director for Social Care. This may include:
Children with a current or recent (within the last 12 months) child protection plan
Children who have been in care within the last 2 years and continue to receive social care support
Children at significant risk of becoming looked after
Children living in temporary accommodation due to fleeing violence, where rehousing arrangements have been confirmed
Priority 3 – Sibling Link
Children who will have an older brother or sister attending the school (Reception to Year 6) at the time of admission. Siblings must live at the same address and be part of the same family unit.
Priority 4 – Church Connection
As a Church school, priority may be given to children and families who can demonstrate a strong and active commitment to a Christian church. This is usually evidenced through regular attendance and involvement, confirmed by a faith leader where required.
Priority 5 – Medical or Social Need
Children with a specific medical condition or exceptional social need where it can be demonstrated that this school is particularly suitable.
Priority 6 – Distance
Children who live nearest to the school, measured by the shortest available walking route. Where appropriate, priority may be given to children for whom the journey to an alternative school would be unreasonable or difficult
