We are delighted to welcome you and your child to Year 2! As your child moves on from Year 1, we are excited to build on the strong foundations they have already developed in reading, writing, mathematics, and social skills.

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to Year 2! As your child moves on from Year 1, we are excited to build on the strong foundations they have already developed in reading, writing, mathematics, and social skills.

In Year 2, your child will continue to develop confidence and independence in their learning. They will explore new topics across the curriculum, deepen their understanding of key concepts, and be encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and express themselves more fully. In literacy, we will focus on improving fluency, comprehension, and creative writing. In mathematics, your child will consolidate their knowledge of number, shape, and measurement while beginning to tackle more challenging problem-solving tasks.

We also place great importance on personal and social development. Year 2 offers opportunities for your child to take on responsibilities, work collaboratively, and develop resilience and curiosity. We will continue to nurture a love of learning in a supportive and stimulating environment.
