Our Curriculum

At St Matthew’s, our curriculum is designed to provide every child with a high-quality, inclusive education that enables them to flourish academically, socially, morally and spiritually. Rooted in our Christian vision, “Let all you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14), our curriculum reflects our commitment to nurturing the whole child.

We offer a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that is carefully sequenced to build knowledge and skills over time. Our curriculum promotes high expectations, strong core skills in reading, writing and mathematics, and a rich range of subjects that inspire curiosity and a love of learning. Guided by our Christian values of love, respect, friendship and creativity, we aim to develop pupils who are:

We regularly review and refine our curriculum to ensure it remains engaging, ambitious and relevant, while meeting both national requirements and the needs of our school community.
